Worth it

Privacy

Who runs it

Worth It is a private price monitor run by its owner for a few invited testers. It is not a shop or a company, and it sells nothing.

What it keeps about you

Your name, your passcode as a salted hash (never the passcode itself), your alert address if you add one, the products you star, and the alerts sent to you.

Nothing else: no location, no contacts, no browsing history, no payment details.

Cookies and tracking

One cookie, to keep you signed in; it is needed for the site to work. No analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels, and no scripts or fonts from other sites.

Where it is kept

On the owner's own server in the Netherlands. The public link reaches it through Tailscale, encrypted end to end (HTTPS).

A copy of the database is made every night and the last 7 are kept; price history is kept for 90 days.

Email

Alerts are sent from the owner's email account, only to the address you give, and only for deals and the products you star. Turn them off any time in Settings.

Shops

Worth It reads the shops' public pages itself; your browser never contacts a shop until you tap Buy. Then you are on the shop's own site, and its own privacy policy applies. Worth It never buys anything and never shares your details with a shop.

Security

Failed sign-ins are counted for 15 minutes, by name and by network address, to stop guessing; they are kept in memory only.

Your choices

See, change or remove your alert address in Settings. Delete your account in Settings → Access → Delete my account: your name, passcode, address, stars and alerts go at once (and from the nightly copies within 7 days).

Questions: ask the owner who invited you.
